A glance at Sleeper

In this post I’m looking at the brand Sleeper, a pyjama brand that’s much more than just pyjamas. The designs are sophisticated with a fun, lighthearted vibe, which makes them easy not only wear at home but for many other occasions. It’s a delightfully playful brand whose easy yet elevated pyjamas also have an ethically [...]

A glance at GANNI

I am going to start writing a number of blog posts where I look into different brands offering responsibly made clothes and accessories. I’m starting off with GANNI, a Danish brand known for its bold prints, effortless Scandinavian style and understated silhouettes. You might have even seen the iconic Ganni Girls on Instagram. For GANNI, [...]

Winter Wellness

These dreary months  can easily put people in a ‘sombre’ mood, especially just now when a lot of time is spent at home. However, there’s no reason not to take care of your ‘wellness’ and to try to brighten each day with a few little steps. Making some wellbeing rituals can help to bring routine [...]

Consciously Curated Gift Guide

Every year it seems to get more and more difficult to choose presents for loved ones. Particularly in the past year, there has definitely been a shift in wanting to buy things more meaningful and kinder to the environment. I’ve crafted a list of things I’ve tried or I’ve given to others for gifts.

A day in Nice

It’s hard to know where to begin to describe Nice, one of the prettiest cities in the south of France that I visited during the summer. There are so many wonderful things to see and do, you really are spoiled for choice. To start off there’s Hotel Amour, which has a wonderful courtyard (like the [...]

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

Set in the sunny seaside hilltop in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferret is Villa Rothschild, a rose coloured villa created by Béatrice de Rothschild, for whom the beautiful buildings of Venice were the inspiration for the architecture of the house.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

During the summer I took a trip to the South of France, where I stayed in Villefranche-sur-Mer for a couple of days. Villefranche-sur-Mer is a little village located in between Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Nice. It’s set on a serene bay with warm coloured houses cascading down the hillside to the sea. This charming seaside village is delightful for a tranquil weekend on the coast.

Vintage Velvet

Those Autumn afternoons when the blazing heat of the day disappears and there is a slight chill in the air as the sun is setting. At the beginning of Autumn it can be difficult to choose what to wear; even though summer is over the weather is just as warm. A little dress and a bolero are ideal for making the transition to the new season.

Reading List

This time in isolation is the perfect time to open a good book, I managed to finish read a few that were on my list. While it’s nice to not be staring at a screen, you can also find them on Kindle, Scribd or Apple Books. There’s no better time to read the books that having been gaining dust on youra shelves.

Working on your wellness

I think that in times of uncertainty, self-care goes to the end of the list, but it’s something that should definitely be taken into consideration more. For me these are some things that I’ve really focussed on during this enforced quarantine.
