The Musée Jacquemart André is located in the heart of the 8th arrondissement. It’s a private museum that originally was the home of Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart. The museum is made up of a series of rooms and apartments with a vast collection of paintings, sculptures, furniture and remarkable architecture. When the weather can be a bit grey it’s always difficult to know what to do during the day – so a museum is the perfect excuse to stay inside. As well as the permanent collections, the museum often features a new exhibition every few months in some of the apartments. One of my favourite parts of the museum is the Winter Garden, which is a room filled with greenery and light, where you can sit and admire the whole room. What I love about this museum is that you don’t feel as though you are in a city, especially when you are sipping your tea on the terrace of the café.
