Paris in the summer has something special about it, more than any other city I’ve visited. Usually I don’t get to stay in Paris for too long during the summer, but this year I decided to spend more time enjoying the city whilst it’s warm. Whether it’s going to the markets in the morning, strolling around Saint Germain or having a picnic next to the Seine, there’s always a special moment waiting around every corner.

But the issue of walking around a city in the summer is that the warmth just stays there, intensifying throughout the day, so deciding what to wear is sometimes an issue. For me, I find I want something that is comfortable to walk around in for hours on end but that is also sophisticated – not an easy combination. Luckily the silk midi dress is just perfect for these types of days in warmer weather –  it’s light and super chic! It can last you all day and be worn into the evening too, as you head off for cocktails or supper with friends.
